If you’ve ever used the gothic ruins, rubble piles, shipping crates, or other pieces of terrain that live on the big shelves in the back of the store; this event is for you! If you’ve ever looked at those shelves and wondered what those tiny buildings in those big tubs were for; this event is for you! If you’ve ever said to yourself, ‘’I want to take a paint brush and put paint on something in the presence of other individuals doing the same thing”; this event is definitely for you!
Community Terrain Improvement Day is a day for exactly what the title says!
Community - This event is open to anyone who is or wants to be a part of the miniature wargaming community in and around Atomic Empire. Prior experience and participation are not required. Tools of your own are not required. Registration via the link below is encouraged and extremely helpful but also not required!
Terrain - Our goal with this event is to do all things as they relate to the terrain that lives in the back of the store!
Improvement - We’re going to make the terrain that lives on the giant shelves better in every way that we can! As the terrain in the store is quite literally fought over on a weekly basis it often finds itself damaged. Tanks and giant robots don’t take shots at each other without leaving a mark on the pesky walls that got in the way. Part of our goal for this day is to go through the existing store terrain and repair anything that’s broken and add paint where needed. Some of the terrain still needs its first ever coat of paint so that’s on the docket too! In addition to making repairs; we’ve got some kits to build. We’ll need folks to trim some things off sprues and glue them together.
Day - We’ll be hanging out from 12pm to 5pm so feel free to drop by and spend as much or as little time hanging out as you want!
Paint, brushes, and glue will be provided. Clippers and hobby knives may not be available, so if you have extras and are comfortable with the public borrowing them, please bring them. If you have any favored tools or plan to participate in any assembly you are welcome to bring your own tools with you! Airbrushes and compressors, while extremely useful, are not allowed.
If you have any questions about this event feel free to reach out to byerswarhammer at gmail dot com
