Have you just picked up the new edition of Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game and looking to try it out? Are you looking to try one of the many new army lists in the new army books? Are you just looking to roll dice and have fun?

Winter 2025 League:

This will be an 8-game escalation league especially designed for new players. Veterans: Please bear in mind this is a new player-friendly league when building your lists!

First time player?:

No worries! We have a friendly community that can help you get started. This league is especially designed for a player just starting out. Painted models are not required. Models should be fully assembled. Please contact the campaign administrator to inquire about loaner models.

Details for games:

Games will be played as 1 v 1 with 8 games in total on a 4x4 board.

Each week, by Monday night, pairings and Missions will be announced for players each week. Some weeks will be specific missions, others will be pick-off from a particular pool. Players will bring their own army list each week, and may change it freely according to army construction rules.

Tuesdays will be the official game night, but players can schedule on other days as needed to make up games. Players should report the results of each game to the campaign administrator.

Match results are due on Sunday at 6 pm; please contact the campaign administrator for exceptions. Missed games may be scored a 0-0 draw if not made up by 2 weeks of the scheduled date, or the end of the league.

Players must submit their faction before Week 1. If a player would like to switch their faction, they will be able to do so freely until game 4.

Table size will be 48x48 inches, unless otherwise specified by the scenario.

Schedule: Opponents for each week of the event will be arranged by the Campaign Administrator. Communication will be through the Atomic Discord (be sure to select the Middle Earth SBG role during Onboarding).

There will be prizing for top 3 league points and best sportsmanship. All players who sign up by January 7 will also receive a complimentary 3d printed miniature!

Game Size & Army construction:

This is an escalation league, meaning points allotments will increase throughout the league. Points allotment are as follows:

Weeks 1-2: 225 points

Weeks 3-4 300 points

Weeks 5-6: 400 points

Weeks 7-8: 500 points

Players who may have just purchased the War of the Rohirrim box set are encouraged to build to 500 points using both halves of the box set!

Forge World units ARE allowed. Proxy Units ARE allowed (within reason). Painted armies are NOT required.

Army Lists must be taken from the Armies of the Lord of the Rings (2024) and Armies of the Hobbit (2024).
