Magic Academy : Standard Showdown

Con-grad-ulations! You've made it to the final week of Atomic Empire's first Magic Academy.
Time to take all the cards and skills you've collected over the past 3 weeks and try them out at a real-deal tournament.
While this will be a structured event, the focus will be on casual play, and in the spirit of Magic Academy the intent is to be an introductory tournament for new and inexperienced players. Players returning to Magic after a significant hiatus are welcome, as are experienced players looking to be casual and welcoming and maybe bring their B-Tier and below decks.
Experienced, competitive players are encouraged to attend another one of our FNM offerings, our Thursday Night Standard League, or the RCQ on Saturday.

Format:
Play Boosters or store credit (player's choice) will be awarded based on match record.
W-L-D (Wins, Losses, Draws)
3 rounds (4-8 players)
- 3-0-0: 4 packs or $20 store credit
- 2-0-1: 3 packs or $15
- 2-1-0: 2 packs or $10
- All others: 1 pack or $5
- 4-0-0: 6 packs or $30 store credit
- 3-0-1: 5 packs or $25
- 3-1-0: 4 packs or $20
- 2-1-1: 2 packs or $10
- All others: 1 pack or $5
Additionally, whoever takes first takes home a Cowboy Bebop alt-art Go for the Throat!
By registering, you acknowledge that you are participating in an introductory tournament for new players and those looking to further learn the game. Competitors judged to be operating against the spirit of the event will be disqualified without a refund.
You do not have to have attended another Atomic Empire Magic Academy event to attend this.
