The purpose of the league is to prepare for the 2024 tournament season, but all players are welcome. Even if you aren’t planning on attending a tournament any time soon, the league is a great way to participate in the community and get some games in.
Details for Games:
Games will be played as 1 v 1 with 9 games in total. Games should be played on Tuesday nights, but can be rescheduled if agreed on by both players.
The hidden veto system will be used for mission selection. Players will be given a pool of three scenarios at the beginning of each week. Both players will secretly write down which one of the three scenarios they wish to veto, then reveal their selection. If the players chose two different scenarios, then they will play the scenario which was not vetoed. If both players vetoed the same scenario, they will play the vetoed scenario.
Players must maintain the same faction through the course of the league and that faction will be submitted when players register. If a player would like to switch their faction, they will be able to do so before their fourth game is played in the league. Players switching their faction should notify the League Administrator.
Scoring, Prizes, and Event Wrap-up:
Games will be scored using the Major/Minor Victory system described in the MESBG Matched Play Guide. All scores should be submitted to the League Administrator, as Victory Points will be used as a tiebreaker. At the conclusion of the event (July 30), awards will be given for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and Best Sportsman.

- One faction chosen from those available in the Armies of The Lord of the Rings, Armies of The Hobbit, or supported supplements published by Games Workshop.
- All lists and factions are allowed and your list may include green or yellow alliances. Red alliances are not permitted.
- Legendary Legions are allowed.
- Banned models: Smaug, Goldberry and Tom Bombadil.
- Proxy models - including 3D printed models - are allowed as long as the base size requirements are met, and the model’s wargear matches the model they are a proxy for.
- Painted models are not required.
- Table size will be 48x48 inches throughout the league.
