Amassing your Forces!
- All Matched Play Rules are in effect.
- Your Forces will be up to 1,750 points and may include up to 3 detachments.
- All units must be from a single codex. Supplements are considered part of a codex for the purpose of list building, including any Regiments of Renown, Traveling Players, and Agents per normal restrictions.
- Your character selected as warlord must remain your warlord for each game in the Tournament and/or Series.
- All FAQs and erratas provided by Games Workshop are allowed in this event. However, any new codex or rules that are released after the initial deadline will be subject to TO discretion.
- Highlander (Optional) - aside from troops and dedicated transports, if your forces do not include any unit more than once you may generate an additional d3 command points for that game.
- It is not required to have a printed list for your opponent, but it is preferred if you do have one that you can share. This can be a physical or digital copy. However, all players should have a copy of the codex and any relevant supplements that they are using for their forces.
- Proxies - proxy models will be acceptable, as long as they are on the same base size as the original model and are not used for the player’s advantage (e.g., smaller or larger model profile). However, non-model proxies will not be permitted. For example, a shoebox or a toy tank will not be permissible as a Shadowsword.
- WYSIWYG - models do not need to be WYSIWYG. However, these should be clearly identified for your opponent prior to your game.
- Have fun! Your forces are stuck in the warp, so things are going to get more than a little weird.
- Rules question? Consult your rulebook and any relevant Games Workshop documents. If you and your opponent have a rules dispute, consult the event organizer for a final ruling.
- Due to the nature of the warp...expect the unexpected! This may come in the form of in-game events, community-wide impacts and whatever else gets conjured up!
General Rules
Each of the Chaos Lords has their own preference in how they seek to corrupt, manipulate and decimate the mortal realms. How do you stack up in the eye of each Chaos god?
Each player may earn up to five (5) points per chaos god element per game for a total of 20 points - additional details will be provided later. As the Chaos gods are fickle and ever scheming to dominate the mortal realms and the space of the Immaterium there may be opportunities to score more than 5 points in some missions...if you choose to be a daring commander.
If you have any interest in bringing terrain, paint judging, being added to the waitlist, concerns regarding any particular model/proxy, sponsoring/donating prizes, or any other questions please reach out to me at: byerswarhammer@gmail.com
Across space in the 41st Millenium billions of soldiers prepare for war, fight in the name of their factions, and bleed until there is nothing left of their life force.
In most cases these engagements are trivial affairs, but on occasion the deviant gods of chaos find that the follies of men can bend the game to their favor. The chaos gods bicker and pit man against man for their own benefit. On extremely rare occasions 1 or more chaos gods may join together to slight another of their chaos brethren.
But, in only the rarest of situations have all 4 chaos gods meddled in the affairs of mortal beings for their mutual benefit. Such a time is now. With the galaxy torn in two with the great warp rift, it was welcomed as the beginning of chaos’ reign over the mortal realms. However, with this rift and psychic awakening the chaos gods also felt that a power struggle was pushing back against their own forces. At first, each god would only send an emissary to meet with those of their brethren. But as the stakes continued to rise, only one solution was viable that could both corrupt and distract the mortals from defending themselves against the great warp rift.
Rather than continuing to let mortals fight back daemons at the mouths of the rift, the great gods would instead invite mortals directly into the warp itself.
Thus, Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Slaanesh would each be responsible for luring in the forces of their enemy into the warp. This extraction was conducted in many ways, be it by opening new rifts on battlefields, snatching vessels that were traversing the warp or through any other nefarious means, the forces of chaos held mortals at bay while they collected them. Finally, with their holds overflowing with the energy of the mortals, the chaos gods brought these mortals onto their newly generated battlefields.
One faction stands on one side of the battlefield and peers across to see the other forces. Most are perplexed with their present situation, but the psykers, prophets, and advanced war commanders can sense that their current situation is unnatural. What they do not yet know is that they are to face off against other mortals in a tournament that seeks to both appease the chaos gods and create a new champion for these warp-forged beings. But the longer they fight their fellow mortals in this warp space, the longer they are away from defending their home planets, trade routes, and strategic positions. All which allows the flow of chaos to further taint and corrupt the galaxy!
