Krayt Cup is an X-Wing team-based event. 3-player teams are paired against each-other in Swiss rounds, and then a cut is made to the top four teams at the end of Swiss. The winning team gets to hold onto the massive trophy for the next year!
The main Krayt Cup event takes place on Saturday, with the cut Sunday. Additionally, Sunday has additional events with separate prizes!
Additionally, on Friday, September 23rd, Clout City will be held! This is a more experimental non-team format with list specifics chosen after seeing their opponent. Registration is available here.

Entry Fee: $40 per player
Format: Teams of three, five rounds of Swiss, cut to top 8 teams. For full rules, please see the rules document for this event.

These are double bed rooms, though if you prefer a single you should be able to make that swap with no problems.
I know this is expensive, unfortunately there's a UNC v Notre Dame football game on the same weekend (how dare they steal our event timing!) and we're right down the road. I did a decent amount of shopping around and this was about the best I could get, and it is about 1 mile from Atomic Empire.

Prices are still fluctuating on hotels as of this week, some people have found individual rates. If you're going to book, I definitely recommend double checking rates online. For example, you can currently book at the same hotel for $154 night ($350 total) for both nights through hotels.com. The hotel is La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Univ Area Chapel Hill
