Mythic Championship Qualifier Richmond [Modern] Saturday, Sept 14th, 2019
Our next Mythic Championship Qualifier is a Modern event featuring $3,000-4,000 in cash prizes and an invitation to Mythic Championship Richmond! The Mythic Championship is an invitation-only event sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, where top players compete for $500,000 in prizes and the title of Mythic Champion. Winning a Mythic Championship Qualifier is one of the only ways to secure an invitation to this prestigious event. More information about the MCQ program is available here.
Entry Fee: $35
Format: Modern Constructed. Competitive REL; deck lists are required. 5x Planeswalker Point Multiplier.
Structure: Up to 8 Swiss rounds based on attendance with a single-elimination cut to the top 8.
Maximum attendance: 226
Schedule: Doors open at 9 am. Registration closes at 9:45 am. First round starts at 10:00 am.
Registration closes 15 minutes before tournament start time. You must be in line to register in person (or have already registered online) by then, or you will receive a round-one loss. This is to keep the tournament running on time for all of our players. Cape Fear Games will be in attendance as a vendor; orders placed through their website before 4pm on Friday Sept 13th can be picked up at the MCQ! If attendance is less than 175 players, we will pay out $3,000 in cash prizes by this schedule:

- 2nd Place: $500
- 3rd-4th: $300
- 5th-8th: $150
- 9th-16th: $75
- 1st Place: $800, Invitation to Mythic Championship Richmond
- 2nd Place: $640
- 3rd-4th: $320
- 5th-8th: $160
- 9th-16th: $80
- 17th-32nd: $40
All participants will also receive an exclusive Arcbound Ravager promotional card.
Wizards of the Coast no longer provides a travel award or airline tickets for the winners. All travel expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
