The design of the White Star and its mass production was a feat that would stagger and befuddle the minds of historians and engineers for centuries to come. It was the year 2259 and in less than 12 months the Rangers would have to design, test and begin mass production of an experimental warship that would not only incorporate experimental Minbari technology, but also advanced Vorlon technology... sciences which might not have even been compatible.

Hundreds of engineers and scientists were set to the task of building the White Star. To combat the Shadows, Jeffrey Sinclair placed several additional build requirements on the project that would further strain Minbari scientists and engineers. To fight the Shadows, the White Star would need to be as fast as a Shadow vessel, as maneuverable as a fighter craft, armed with weapons more powerful than those on a warcruiser, capable of making independent jumps into hyperspace... and easily mass produced to satisfy requirements.
